When asked if Tagi played the game better she replies “Of course. They played the game 10 times better.” Colleen acknowledges how Gretchen and Greg didn’t help Pagong because they were anti-alliance and anti-the show! Glad to look back at this and know that Colleen went the furthest from Pagong. Loved that she blamed Gretchen and Greg as the main culprits for Pagong’s weakness in the overall game. This makes the viewer 20 years later, and I want to believe in 2000, happy that Greg was the first one booted from Rattana after the merge and Gretchen quickly followed.

Also, it’s great how much she shut down the notion of her and Greg ever being “a thing”. The best Survivor player on Pagong should shut down the one with the worst attitude toward the game. Good job by you 2000 Colleen.

When you look better 20 years later than 20 years before. And oh by the way, the 2020 picture is Bryant Gumbel 8 weeks quarantined…aka what Bryant Gumbel would look like if he were on Survivor.

3 - Best Quote

This quote screams out to every viewer now, and as Bryant Gumbel said, the 27 million that were watching her at the time! She never imagined Survivor catching on like it did. Who could have? Nobody could foresee that kind of explosion of success in season 1 of any reality TV show, let alone one that films people being eaten by bugs, sitting around a fire, and doing mud bath conga lines. It is cool to see the this video time capsule to help put in perspective how far the show has come since its humble beginnings.

Ultimately, 20 years later, the show is still filming people camping and America is still loving it!
